As a Conscious-Center Living PhD, Maria Baltazzi helps people reframe how they think about themselves by guiding them in developing micro habits and a mindset that supports sustainable happiness. She has devoted years of study to understanding the art and science of happiness and mindfulness and is committed to helping others live the best version of themselves.
Maria is a world traveller, seven-continent distance walker, Emmy award-winning television show producer, writer, and speaker. She was one of the original producers on the U.S. hit series, CBS’ Survivor. She also has Executive Produced various docuseries. The two most notable are History Channel’s Expedition Africa: Stanley & Livingstone and Animal Planet’s Battleground: Rhino Wars.
Her most recent adventure has been founding Sojourn Explorers, where she curates inner and outer journeys for the greater good.
Maria uses her talent as an award-winning producer to curate transformative travel experiences, retreats, and workshops around Happiness and Conscious-Centered Living. She specializes in solo and small group travel to less crowded destinations that offer unique and unforgettable experiences. Each trip is thoughtfully curated around her Four Compass Points of Travel.

As a transformational travel experience guide, Maria teaches happiness, mindfulness, primordial sound meditation, prayer of the heart, and mindful movement. Her trips include curated reflective moments and mindfulness photography therapy. A percentage of the proceeds from her trips go to one of several nonprofits that she supports.
Her teacher training background includes: studying the Science of Happiness through UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Center and the World Happiness Foundation. In addition to her PhD from the University of Sedona in Arizona, she holds a Masters of Fine Art in Film from the Art Center College of Design in California. She has a spiritual psychology certification from the University of Santa Monica in California and an InnerMBA through MindfulNYU in New York. Maria is also a Transformational Travel Council Advisor, a Transformational Travel Council Herald and a proud member of the prestigious Explorers Club.
