The Galápagos Islands is an archipelago of 19 islands in the Pacific Ocean and part of the country Ecuador, in South America. They are one of the world’s best destinations for wildlife-viewing.
Your home for this trip is a tranquil and secluded lodge located in the highlands of the island of Santa Cruz, the perfect place to relax between adventures and roam in the lush grounds. Enjoy the swimming pool and jacuzzi, relax in the hammocks or take a walk around the gardens and the forest. Practice plenty of yoga and meditation with teacher, Tania Brown on a yoga platform with far reaching views of the forest and fruit trees.
During your stay, a private boat will take you around the archipelago to carefully explore the islands by foot and dingy, visit the extraordinary wildlife and then swim and snorkel in beautiful bays and reefs.
Bartolome Island offers some of the most emblematic sceneries of the Galapagos Islands. You will walk on the island with our guide and learn first hand about the volcanic origins of the Galapagos Islands and then take a dingy ride along the coastline to see the Galapagos penguin before heading to Sullivan Bay for some snorkelling.
Santa Fe Island is home to iguanas, a pelican nesting site, sea lion colony, mockingbirds and Palo Santo trees. The trail starts at the beach and leads you into a giant cactus forest where the Galapagos hawks fly above in the blue sky. Snorkel around Fisherman Bay with sea turtles, rays, sea lions, fishes, Galapagos sharks and many more in this rocky reef.
On North Seymour Island you will walk through a forest of Palo Santo trees to see sea lions, land iguanas, blue footed boobies and dynamic colonies of frigate birds. Explore Las Bachas, a beautiful coralline beach perfect for snorkelling, swimming or relaxing on the white soft sand. The nearby lagoons are the feeding grounds of various wading birds, from stilts to flamingos.
Between yoga classes and island trips, you will have the option to explore by bicycle along with a kayaking adventure and a cooking class. There will be time to visit the El Manzanillo Tortoise Reserve, the Charles Darwin centre and an evening out in Puerto Ayora.
While there is a lot of adventure packed into this trip of lifetime, there is also time to rest and reflect, to book a massage or lie by the pool, chat and make new friends.
Tania teaches yoga for everyone, regardless of fitness levels, age, status or body shape.
