How This Trip Will Change Your Life

This walking experience will bring you closer to your natural, untamed self, allowing you to better construct and walk into your everyday life with greater purpose and intention.

Minnesota is a midwestern state in the US, bordering Canada and Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes. It is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, magnificent forests, beautiful prairieland and sparkling blue lakes dotted around the state. Dakota Indians first named this land “minisota,” meaning “land of sky-tinted water,” when they settled there more than three centuries ago. The Root River flows for 80 miles through southeastern Minnesota and is a tributary of the Upper Mississippi River.

What would you do if you had no boundaries in your life? What do you look like when you’re free and wild? This women’s walk is designed to allow you to let go in a nature-soaked, adventure-filled weekend when all bets are off. Our guide, Naomi Stenson, founder of Wild Women of Minnesota, and special guest Catherine Glynn, will take you through activities and experiences designed to help you liberate your body, mind, and voice.

This three-day walking trip in Lanesboro, Minnesota, with our Remarkable Transformer, Andrew Boddicker and life coach and author, Catherine Glynn and laughter yoga practitioner, Laura Gentry, will bring you closer to your natural, untamed self, allowing you to better construct and walk into your everyday life with greater purpose and intention.

Expect daily activities, meditation sessions, a workshop with Catherine on finding your voice and a laughter yoga workshop with Laurs, all designed to help you unwind and unleash into your full self.

You will have a choice of two accommodation options. The first is a bed in the specially made Bunk Bus – each bunk area has a narrow twin spring mattress, outlet, light, and privacy curtain. Or there are private tents that can accommodate one, two, or four people. They are furnished with a bed(s), electricity, a light, fan, and stool and are taken down and set up each night at an additional cost.

Throughout the three days, food is catered, made fresh, or you will have a meal at a local restaurant.

The walking route weaves over the Root River, through valleys, quaint towns, and along bluffs, and much of it is shaded by large trees, providing excellent protection on hot summer days. Distances will vary each day and can range from five to 13 miles. The majority of the trail is a converted railway and as such, is more or less level for the majority of the time. Two short portions of the trail have some steep inclines and the entire distance is paved allowing for safe, unobstructed walking.

The only thing required is a daring spirit with a willingness to share your ideas and receive gentle input to help shape your story.
