Therese Skovgaard Poulsen is a yoga teacher, holistic healer, and Sanskrit scholar with decades of experience guiding people toward clarity, balance, and self-discovery. Her journey began in Denmark, shaped by personal challenges that sparked a lifelong exploration of healing, resilience, and human potential.
She studied Sanskrit and yoga in India and China, training with revered teachers including Krishnamacharya, B.K.S. Iyengar, and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and completed medical training as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Columbia University, New York. Her meditation practice, including extended silent Vipassana retreats, informs her deeply reflective and holistic approach.
Based in Bali for over 16 years, Therese has led transformative workshops, retreats, and global “train the trainer” programs, as well as humanitarian wellness initiatives in Sri Lanka. She combines yoga, therapy, coaching, and spiritual practices—including chakra work, NLP, and inner child healing—to support meaningful emotional and physical shifts.
Therese teaches from a place of humility, empathy, and lived experience. Her mission is to help students reconnect with themselves, cultivate resilience, and bring clarity and vitality into their daily lives.
