ITINERARY
Day 1 to day 4
Arrival at the airport and drive to the Ecolodge in the jungle.

Away from the hustle and bustle, we will spend a few days in nature, visit nearby waterfalls, surrounded by spectacular flora and fauna, learn to cook Ayurvedic dishes and relax in a dream place, learn about the benefits of local plants, hike in the mountains and enjoy the food of the jungle directly to the plate, knowing each fruit and vegetable the benefits it brings to our health.
Day 4
Departure to the city where the relic of Buddha, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, is located, we will visit the sacred temple and head to the hotel.
Day 5
Continue the pilgrimage to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a complex of caves converted into the Golden Temple.

It is also a World Heritage Site.

Departure to the ashram to enjoy the swimming pool and an Ayurveda massage or private consultation with the Ayurveda doctor.
Day 6
Departure to Polonnaruwa, a Unesco World Heritage Site, which was the capital of Sri Lanka between the 11th and 13th centuries.

We will cycle through this sacred space with spectacular Buddha statues and frescoes from the Polonnaruwa period.

At the end of the day we will go on a 4 x 4 safari to observe the wild animals.
Day 7
We start the day with a yoga class (optional) at the Ayurveda ashram.

We continue our journey to Sigiriya, a massive stone monolith of 200 meters, a famous boulder.

We will drive to the beach to stay there.
Day 8
Free day at the beach, optional whale watching excursion, visit to the nearby island for snorkelling and swimming among the corals.
Day 9
Mid morning departure to Ridi Gama, the temple where we will enjoy the magical night of Vesak, we will sleep in the monastery.
Day 10
Upon awakening we will receive a meditation session with a disciple of the monastery, monk and we will be able to attend the prayers of the faithful.

Afterwards we drive to Gampaha.

In the evening we will experience the procession among musicians, dancers and hundreds of elephants, flaming hoops symbolizing the Buddha's enlightenment.

One of the most enriching and transforming experiences.
Day 11
From Colombo we will drive to Koggala to assist in the restoration of the mangroves of the lake and support local economic development.

Afterwards transfer to Colombo to continue enjoying the street light festival.
Day 12
Departure to the airport.
