overview

Peru is a country in South America and home to a section of the Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu, an ancient Incan city high in the Andes mountains. The region around Machu Picchu, including the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail and the colonial city of Cusco, is rich in archaeological sites. On Peru’s arid Pacific coast is Lima, its capital, with a preserved colonial centre and important collections of pre-Columbian art.

On this trip around Peru, you begin in Lima, the City of the Kings, where you will start your culinary adventure by shopping at a local market for your ingredients with the guidance of your chef. Throughout your lesson, the chef will let you know the secrets of why and how Peruvian cuisine has become one the best in the world, plus you will leave knowing how to prepare your very own world-famous ceviche!

Following this, you will fly to the Andes and taste the exquisite food at the Sacred Valley of the Incas, discover Maras and Moray with a farm-to-table lunch and explore Pisac & Delight your senses in Sarapampa.

A one-of-a-kind train ride will then take you to discover one of the world’s great marvels, Machu Picchu. Your expert guide will give you a private tour of this fascinating and ancient city.

This culinary adventure will finish in Cusco with a lesson in making your own chocolate.
