overview

There comes a point where rest isn’t about stopping, it’s about remembering how to move through life with more ease, clarity, and intention.

This six-day hiking & yoga retreat experience offers that kind of pause. Set at the foot of Mont Blanc, it invites you into a rhythm shaped by mountains, movement, and spaciousness, a place where the noise quiets, your body reawakens, and perspective naturally returns.

Chamonix is not a backdrop designed to impress. It’s a working mountain town with a deep respect for effort, endurance, and humility in nature. Trails weave through forests and high alpine terrain. Peaks rise sharply, reminding you that scale matters, and that your worries often shrink when you step far enough back. This is a landscape that doesn’t rush you, but it does ask for presence.

Each day, you move. Guided hikes take you along some of the valley’s most meaningful routes, not to conquer them, but to experience them fully. You walk steadily, breathe deeply, pause often. Conversations unfold naturally on the trail, or not at all. There’s space for both connection and quiet. The physical challenge is real but measured, leaving you feeling capable rather than depleted.

In the evenings, yoga becomes a way to listen inward. Gentle, restorative sessions help your body recover, and your nervous system soften after long days outdoors. The practice is about noticing what’s there and letting go of what you no longer need to hold. Sleep comes easier. Mornings feel clearer.

Some moments broaden your perspective: standing at high altitude on the Aiguille du Midi, where the air thins and perspective sharpens; learning to trust yourself on a rock face in Les Gaillands, supported by experienced local guides who know these mountains intimately. These experiences aren’t about adrenaline. They’re about confidence, trust, and remembering that growth often happens just beyond the familiar.

You stay together in a quiet alpine chalet, a warm, understated home designed for comfort and reflection. Evenings are simple: shared meals, good food, laughter, and stories from the day. The focus is nourishment, not just physical, but emotional and social too. Meals draw on local Alpine traditions, further grounding you in place.

The group is small, thoughtful, and diverse in life experience. Most arrive full of responsibility, ambition, and constant decision-making. Over the week, something shifts. Shoulders drop. Breathing deepens. Conversations become more honest. You begin to remember how it feels to be fully present without needing to produce, achieve, or manage.

Guided by retreat hosts who value balance over bravado, and local mountain professionals who understand the terrain deeply, you’re supported without being pushed. Everything is held with care from movement to rest, from structure to freedom.

You don’t leave Chamonix with neatly packaged answers. You leave with something quieter and more useful: space. Space to think more clearly. To listen more closely. To return home with a steadier body, a calmer mind, and a renewed sense of what matters, and what doesn’t.

ITINERARY
Day 1
Touch down in Geneva and meet our group at the arrivals area. Join our group transfer as we make our way to Chamonix through the mountains. Upon arrival, you’ll check in, settle into your room, explore the chalet and in the peaceful surroundings.

We’ll come together for a gentle yoga session in the afternoon, designed to unwind travel stiffness and ease you into the rhythm of the week. Afterwards, there’s time to relax by the pool or hot tub before we head into town to get our bearings, get some supplies for the week and have our first dinner together, marking the start of our shared alpine adventure.
Day 2
We’ll begin the day with a buffet-style breakfast before heading out to tackle one of Chamonix’s most iconic hikes. The Lac Blanc trail offers a huge variety of expansive views with time to pause, take photos, and fully absorb the scale of the landscape.

We’ll sit down for a picnic lunch on the mountain, surrounded by dramatic peaks and open skies. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to the chalet for a restorative yoga session, followed by time to relax by the pool or rest as you need.

In the evening, we head out for a delicious dinner in Chamonix, sharing stories from the trail!
Day 3
Following breakfast, we head out on foot to Les Gaillands, a stunning landscape including forest, rock face and lake along the river Arve. We’ll meet our guides and spend the morning in a coached rock climbing session. Whether you’re new to climbing or have some experience, the routes will adapted to your level, focusing on building confidence and technique.

We’ll have our picnic lunch at the lake before we return on foot to Chamonix, where you can use the early afternoon for a spa visit at QC Terme or a browse around the beautiful crystal museum. In the late afternoon, yoga offers a chance to soften the body after a demanding day, with pool and relaxation time to follow.

We’ll head out for dinner in the evening, rounding out a full and varied day.
Day 4
After breakfast, we set off for the Brévent hike, a stunning route offering panoramic views directly opposite Mont Blanc. The terrain is varied and engaging, making for a rewarding day of movement and exploration.

We’ll stop for lunch on the mountain, giving space to refuel and enjoy the setting before continuing the hike. Back at the chalet, the late afternoon brings yoga to stretch tired legs and restore balance, followed by pool or relaxation time.

We will gather again for dinner - keeping the evenings social and relaxed.
Day 5
We start with breakfast before heading towards the Aiguille du Midi for an incredible experience at +3850m. Expect endless views, a climbing museum, a hypoxic chamber and direct views to Mont Blanc, the Bossons Glacier, the Vallee Blanche, and perhaps also the Matterhorn. On the way down, we will stop at the middle station, where our hike will begin.

Picnic lunch will be provided on the mountain, allowing us to stay immersed in the landscape without rushing. Later, we return to the chalet for our final yoga session of the retreat, followed by time to rest, swim, or simply take it all in.

Our final dinner together is a chance to celebrate the week and reflect on the experiences shared.
Day 6
Wake up, have a final dip in the pool, pack, and join our celebratory breakfast around the long table where we recap the week. We check out of the chalet by 10:30am.

Our group transfer will carry you back with tired legs, clear minds, fresh perspectives, loads of inspiration, new friendships and new memories shaped by movement, nature, and connection in the mountains.
