overview

The Dinokeng Game Reserve is a large wildlife sanctuary in the province of Gauteng, South Africa, bordering Pretoria and Johannesburg. The reclaimed wilderness attests to sound conservation principles and is in a transitional zone between biomes, offering some of the highest biodiversity in South Africa.

This five day field guide workshop is designed for those looking to deepen their understanding of the African wilderness. Join a group of like-minded nature enthusiasts who will allow you a profound (re)connection with yourself and nature, while being awed by a myriad of mind-blowing new learnings. Unplug from civilisation, tune in all your senses, enjoy pure silence and simply being in the moment and discover the art of tracking in the most inspiring of environments.

This workshop is mentored by highly skilled trainers from one of the leading Field Guiding Training schools in South Africa and integrates the professional teachings of many different topics such as ecology, animal behaviour, game management, birding, trailing and bushcraft. Through time spent in nature and a variety of creative processes, you will be awakened to a totally different reality and perception of the natural world, and understand how every single element in nature is intrinsically connected and interdependent. This is where you will rediscover your own deep wisdom and sense of belonging to Nature.

There are no specific skills or experience required to participate in this workshop.
